Essay

The object of investigation of dissertation is a continuous casting, where the condition for the volumetric crystallization using a nonhomogeneus magnetic field are created, the physical processes that provide the volumetric crystallization of the continuous casting. The mathematical models of metal silvering on microrefrigerator, of microrefrigerator's motion in the melt of the continuous casting in a nonhomogeneus mag-netic field, of the calculation of the magnetic field gradient in the zone of volumetric crystallization of the continuous casting were developed. The computational procedure of the process-dependent parameters was suggested. In modelling it was taken into account that the microrefrigerators are pelydisperse, that the resultant mass of the metal that is crystallized at the given volume, calculates for the collection of the micro particles that have a certain size, that the physical properties of the particles and the molten metal are constant, that the nonhomogeneus magnetic field influences every particle taking into account its size. The developed prototype of the continuous-steel-casting machine allows considerably cut down material and time expenses for the manufacturing of the metal-roll. The results of the mathematical modelling can be used in the metallurgy industry.
