Essay

Dissertation is devoted to estimation of modern geoecological state of the Black Sea gulfs and bays in territorial waters of Ukraine. Main results of the work were received on the base of processing of primary materials of geoecological observations in the Black Sea gulfs and bays, monitoring of flows of suspended substance in Blue bay on Marine oceanographic platform of Marine Hydrophysical Institute of NAN of Ukraine (Kacively). In dissertation work main physical-geographical and oceanological conditions of forming and existence of geoecology of the Black sea gulfs and bays were determined, on the basis of morphological characteristics classification of the Black sea gulfs and bays was done. On the basis of modern climatic data numerical modeling of water dynamic of Kalamitsky gulf was made. It was determined, that in nearbottom layer of Kalamitsky gulf currents of cyclonic vorticity with prevalence of alongshore flows were observed. The author analyzed main sources of contaminants inputs in the Black sea gulfs and bays. In dissertation influence of meteorological regime and hydrodynamic factors on sedimentation processes in coastal zone was proved. On the basis f own investigations made on experimental range in Blue gulf the author determined that input of the main part of terrigenic substance (products of wind erosion and coast abrasion) caused by wind (wind transference of substances from the coast, wind influence on wave activity). The author revealed that flow from coast influenced on suspended substance input and transformation. It was proved that in certain intervals processes of resedimentation of upper layer of bottom sediments took place during substantial hydrodynamic disturbance. Key words: the Black Sea, gulfs and bays, geoecological state, contaminants, sedimentation in coastal zone.
