Essay

The origins and the evolution of tourism in Wolyn Voivodeship in the interbellum is researched in the dissertation. It is mentioned that state institutions as well as Polish tourist and regional natural history societies used different methods in order to promote tourism which was one of the means of colonization and integration of the Ukrainian lands into the Polish Republic. This was the main reason why tourism was paid a significant attention to. It is proved that Wolyn Voivodeship had a well established tourist infrastructure. Based on the available tourist resources and facilities, tourism has been classified as culture-historical, religious, health-related, educational and sport one.
