Margita N. Regional policy of foreign direct investment regulating

The thesis is devoted to substantiation of the theoretical and methodological foundations of regional policy of investment regulation. The essence, principles and methods to stimulate foreign direct investment at the regional level are presented in the thesis. The concept "regional policy of investment regulation" and the component structure of the regional mechanism of investment are defined. The impact of FDI on the economy of the Transcarpathian region is analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the socio-economic efficiency of the SEZ "Zakarpattja" and the territory of priority development. An econometric model to study the impact of FDI on economic and social development of the region and model to identify factors that stimulate foreign direct investment in the Transcarpathian region are developed. Based on these models the investment policy effectiveness is estimated and conceptual approaches of regional mechanism of investment regulation are proposed.
