Object - social transformations in the Polish state during XVI - middle of the XVII century. The aim is the research of the proceeding of the polish reformation movement and the analysis of the mechanisms of the reformation impact on the polish ethnic identity development. Generally scientific methods - analysis, synthesis, historical, systematic-structural; concrete-historical - genetic-historical, diachronic, comparative-historical, problem-chronological. The genesis of the polish Reformation and the historical preconditions of its origin are analysed. The proceeding of the polish reformation movement is reconstructed, main characteristics of its social structure are found out, the basic stages of the polish reformation movement are distinguished, new information from the unpublished sources is included into the scientific discourse. The role of the Reformation in the development of the polish ethnic identity is revealed, the mechanisms, conditions and the level of the reformation influence on the polish ethnocultural and ethnopolitical environment formation in their interconnection and interrelation are determined.
