Dissertation work is devoted to operation of theoretical and scientific-methodical bases and tool of mechanism of analysis and prognostication of sustainable development of region. Importance of regional aspect of research of sus-tainable development, which goes into detail general approaches to forming of sustainable development and to expose the variety of his features social, ecological and economic, is led to. Integral estimation of sustainable development and his constituents is certain by means the method of tacsonomy. With the purpose of determination of priority directions of sustainable development of region the method of analysis of hierarchies is used, that foresees dissipation of problem on separate constituents, providing its structure and simplification with construction of hierarchy of aims, that contains the elements of different levels. As a result of construction of such hierarchy of aims intensity of co-operation of ele-ments in hierarchies and degree of their influence on sustainable development is certain. The vector of priorities of sus-tainable development of region which is information for the management of the regional system in relation to accep-tance of administrative decisions about directions of development of the given system is certain.
