Essay

The thesis describes studies on phase transformations in powder system of titanium hydride particles, and processes occurring in the surface layers during hydrogen desorption upon vacuum heating. The mechanism of the hydrogen influence on the consolidation of individual particles under solid-diffusion and laws of interaction of hydrogen with impurities on the particle surface was established. The sequence and temperature ranges of phase transformations in titanium hydride upon heating were found depending on the heating rate, baric conditions and particle size.
