Essay

The thesis is devoted to the actual task of improving turning effectiveness by designing the composed cutting tools with internal cooling system. A new method of removing heat from the cutting area which was used to design composed turning cutters with internal cooling system, is caused by thermal deformations of the tool. Such technology in comparison with standard cutters helps reduce the wear intensity of cutting plates, increase processing performance and reduce the processing dimensional error. The partial modular 3D models of the instrumental surface, formation and removing of the allowance during the process of turning by the oriented non-reground plates of external cylindrical and butt-end surfaces are worked out on the base of analysis of a existent general model. The theoretical and experimental studies established the impact of thermal resistance and material thermal conductivity of cutter holders with mechanical fastening RNP on cutting temperature and cutting resistance plates. The temperature and intensity of cutting plate wear in cutting tools with internal cooling system have need investigated. The analytical expressions for calculating the temperature and the optimum cutting speeds have been received. Practical recommendations for using cutting modes with cutters that apply internal cooling system have been offered. Thermal fields and thermal deformation of machine tools and cutting tool holder when working with cutters of standard design and cutters that apply internal cooling system have been compared and contrasted. The design and heat-conducting channel size of cutting tools with internal cooling system have been optimized. The results of theoretical and experimental studies have been introduced into the production of companies including "CherkassyElevatorMash" and State Enterprise NPC "Fotoprylad" in Cherkasy. The expected annual economic effect estimates more than 52,000 UAH.
