Optical and acoustic properties of Sn2P2S6 and Sn2P2(Se0.28S0.72)6 ferroelectric crystals were studied in order to determine whether a Lifshitz point or a tricritical point exists on the concentration-temperature phase diagram of Sn2P2(SexS1-x)6 solid solutions. It was established that the second order ferroelectric phase transition takes place in Sn2P2(Se0.28S0.72)6 crystals. Splitting of the phase transition was not found, thus two critical points should exist on the phase diagram of Sn2P2(SexS1-x)6 solid solutions, namely a tricritical point and a triple one.
