3. The dissertation presents the results of the research of the geological position and composition of subalkaline and alkaline basites and ultrabasites of Novograd-Volynsky block. Within the block there was selected a separate group of subalkaline potassic basites and ultrabasites. There was discovered the confinedness of alkaline ultrabasites to the zone of tectonic and magmatic activation of North-Eastern stretch. It was discovered that alkaline ultrabasites are characterized by some features. In uniformity of rocks, small size of intrusion bodies, higher content of Si, Mg, Cr, lower content of incompatible elements. Based on the results of the research of the deep xenoliths, the layers of chrome-spinel pyroxenites and peridotites in the lithosphere mantle and potentially diamondiferous layer of pyrope chrome-spinel dunites and harzburgites are expected.
