The object of study: processes of strategic planning and monitoring of development of the region. The aim of study: generalization and deepening of theoretical and methodological principles of information management of processes of strategic planning and monitoring of the development in the region. Methods of study: methods of reduction and grouping; method of generalization; statistical analysis; mathematical modeling; systematic approach. The practical significance of results lays in the development of methods and tools of the information management of processes of strategic planning and monitoring of the development in the region. Scientific novelty of results lies in fact that it was the first time when the concept of information management of processes of strategic planning and monitoring of the development in the region was justified and substantiated.
