Тарнопільська О. The Peculiarities of Growth and Forming of Planted Pine Forests in Left-Bank Steppe and Steppe-and-Forest zones.

Object - the forming of planted stands of Scots pine (Pinus sylvestris L.) during their growing by means of forestry measures; aim - to investigate the features of of planted pine stands growth and forming and to develop proposals for optimization of their growing; methods - comparative ecology, silviculture, forest ecology, forest estimation and geobotany, Field-Map technology; novelty - the first time for Left-Bank Steppe and Steppe-and-Forest zones: dynamics of characteristics of crown, canopy and other elements of pine stands with different density were quantitatively assessed; features of structure, growth and forming of planted pine stands in dependance on intensity, terms and technology of thinning in different forest habitats were detected; planting density for pine planted forests, thinning terms and intensity were substantiated on the base of the generalization of long-term experiences with different growing regimes; features of ground cover's structure and forming in planted pine forests with the different growing regimes were found out; results - recommendations on the optimization of growing regimes for planted pine forests with slow growth in different forest habitats of Left-Bank Steppe and Steppe-and-Forest zones; field of using - forestry.
