The dissertation is devoted to improve the wear resistance of mastication node pair "screw-cylinder" in the processing of thermoplastic polymers, hydrogen-filled glow discharge nitriding steel 38KMHYUA. The laws of the pressure distribution along the length of the material of the cylinder at different gaps between the screw and the cylinder in the processing of plastic types. The laws of wear samples with different coatings in an environment filled polymers. Reasonably promising application of technology of surface hardening of screws hydrogen-nitriding in a glow discharge that provides the minimum curvature axis of the screw.
