This candidate thesis is a complex study of the participation of foreign citizens in the socio-economic life of the Moscow State of the second half of XVth - the first half of the XVIth centuries. The study includes historiographical analysis of the problem; the author has involved and analyzed different types of historical sources. Determined geopolitical position of the Moscow State, the main directions and centers of Russian trade, reconstructed the main conditions of foreigner's coming to the medieval Russia and the beginning of their merchant's activities here. Besides, the author has investigated the state policy of involving the "guests" from abroad in the Muscovy's trade and craft life. The dissertation shows the contribution of the foreigners to the development of export and import operations, as well as to the formation of the assortment line of goods, which were exported abroad and imported into the country by the caravans of foreign traders.
