Essay

The thesis is dedicated to the environmental characteristics of different types of clover, analysis of varietal and seed genetic resources in West and Central Polesie of Ukraine. There were investigated species' richness, distribution, frequency and abundance of the genus Trifolium L. in agricultural landscapes in Western and Central Polesie. There was shown their place in plant communities of investigated territories. There was established that the species T. ambiguum, T. repens, T. pretense and T. aureum are dominant in natural grasslands and fallow areas of investigated territories. It was established, that among suitable for cultivation in the area of Polesie and studied by us four varieties of red clover, namely - Anitra, Mary, Myronivska 5, Nosovskyi 5, an average of three years of research were characterized by high AT - respectively 3,1, 3,4, 3,8, 3,2 mmol S2H4/plant/hour, the number of tubercles on the plant - 35, 28, 38, 32 m. / plant and seed yield - 0,44, 0,43, 0,45 and 0,39 t/ha. There was worked out a method of identification of varieties of red clover (T. pratense L.) by electrophoresis of seed storage proteins, which allows to determine sorted purity of seed parties and to control the quality seed planting material under laboratory conditions.
