Maliovaniy O. The energy factor in the processes of regional integration (the second half of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century)

The thesis investigates the interaction between the energy factor and the processes of regional cooperation, reproducing and comparing the historical development of regional cooperation in the energy sector in the network of the integration associations in Europe, North and South America, and Southeast Asia in the second half of the 20th - beginning of the 21st century. The specificity of the energy factor influence at different stages of existence of the regional integration organizations studied (EU, ASEAN, MERCOSUR, NAFTA) has been discovered.Regional peculiarities of the integration organizations energy problem-solving activities as well as the priorities of the energy policy implementation have been revealed.The state of cooperation in the energy sector at the post-Soviet terrain in terms of the actual integration projects has been determined.
