Essay

The dissertation is devoted to the study of the characteristics of gender-role identity of mentally retarded female teenagers. The study determines the criteria and levels of the formation of gender-role identity, describes variants of possible deviations in behavior and socialization of mentally-retarded female teenagers due to defects during the formation of gender-role identity. An experimental study was conducted, which proved the efficiency of the developed system of psychological and pedagogical procedures, aimed at the formation of gender consciousness and gender respective behavior.
