Essay

The object - energy consumption process during an instruction execution by the CPU; the aims - development of information measurement system (IMS) for estimation energy, consumed by pulse consumers, in particular, CPU energy parameters. Such system should provide generalization of obtained data with means of artificial neural networks; the methods are experiment planning, analysis and synthesis of electrical circuits, information theory and theory of artificial intelligence; the novelty consists of the developed methodology for measurement instant current values, methods and tools for calibration of measurement channels, developed HW/SW components of the IMS for estimation CPU's consumed energy; the results are the following - designed and developed IMS prototype that provides measurement of CPUs' energy consumption with the error rate at 0,75%, while the CPU is working in the normal mode. Developed software tools that perform IMS channels' calibration, measured data processing, the visualization of the retrieved data, preparation of the training set for neural networks; field - information technologies.
