The dissertation investigates structural and functional organization and bioindication properties of the stonefly (Insecta: Plecoptera) communities of the rithral section rivers of the Ukrainian Carpathians. The appropriateness of the possibility to use the representatives of the stoneflies for estimation of the ecological status of the rivers of the Ukrainian Carpathians is proved.
