An effect of the tensile and compressing deformations on the quantitative integral charcreristics of the texture, statistical inclination angle of a prizm to the rolling plane and on the elastic and mechanical properties of the magnesium AZ31 (Mg-3Al-1%Zn) alloy sheets has been studied. It have been found by the calculation - experimental method the constants of the alloy monocrystal and the polycrystal properties in the different directions after alternating bending deformation have been calculated. In the sheets of AZ31 alloy with initial basic texture of a central type under the AB, side by side with the basic sliding, occurs intensive twinning. the most quantity of the twins is detected in the lagers, which were subjected to the extension is accompanied by spasmodic disappearance of the twins at the expense of untwining. The transition from the extension to the compression induces the effects similar that under the compression from the initial stste? but with the lesser quantity of the twins. The twinning in the sheets texture becomes apparent in formation of a prismatik orientation and in a separation of theoriention with the poles deviation by the angel 20-30 from ND to RD. The untwining, to get her with the basic sliding, promotes to a reduction of the basic texture, and an accumulation of the deformation in the following cecles a development of the secondary systems of the twinning and sliding, the orientations stabilization, provided by the alternation of the twinning and the untwining processes in the combination with the sliding and the texture penetration inside.
