Essay

The dissertation is devoted to studying of the morphological features of APUD-system in prostate cancer depending on a histologic structure and differentiation degree of cancer. The adenocarcinomaes of prostates of 127 patients and 35 prostates of comparison group (prostates with hyperplasia) became the material for research. The histologic, immunohistochemical, morphometric research of APUD-cells in prostates with light-cells and dark-cells adenocarcinomaes was fulfilled. At histologic research the presence of APUD-cells of the open and closed types is revealed. At morphometric research it is established authentically more quantity of APUD-cells in prostate adenocarcinomaes in comparison with prostates with hyperplasia. The disturbance of structure and function of APUD-cells in prostate adenocarcinomaes was found. Also it is noted authentically mor? quantity of APUD-cells in light-cell and dark-cell moderate-differentiated adenocarcinomaes in comparision with low-differentiated adenocarcinomaes. At immunohistochemical research of prostate adenocarcinomaes with use of markers of neuroendocrine differentiations - Chromogranin A and Neuron-specific enolase ? it is revealed that in light-cell adenocarcinomaes the neuroendocrine differentiations is expressed more than in dark-cell adenocarcinomaes. Also the neuroendocrine component is presented in more quantity in moderate-differentiated adenocarcinomaes in comparison with low-differentiated adenocarcinomaes. At ultrastructure research is established that neuroendocrine cells in the moderate-differentiated adenocarcinomaes have saved submicroscopic organization and signs of raised secretory activity, and in low-differentiated adenocarcinomaes the APUD-cells with various degree of expressiveness dystrophic changes are defined. In dark-cells tumors of prostate the APUD-cells are present at smaller quantity and contain less secretory granules, than in light-cells adenocarcinomaes. It is established that formation of histologic structure of a cancer of a prostate gland and orientation of degree of a differentiation are connected with change of quantity, structure and function of neuroendocrine component cells of prostate that causes a current and prognosis of disease.
