Voloschynska S. Ecological and geochemical appreciation of urban ecosystem in Kovel city.

The object is an accumulation of heavy metals in humus-eluvial horizon of soils and in the plants of urban ecosystem in Kovel city and motorway side's zone of the road "Kyiv-Kovel-Yahotyn". The aims are to study the levels of contamination of urban ecosystem in Kovel city by heavy metals, to find out the conformities to law of their migration in the system "soil-plant", features of influence on green plantations and on ecosafety of plant-grower products. The methods are field phenological, biometrical, agrochemical; laboratory physical and chemical, biochemical; statistical and graphic with the use of computer modeling.The results of complex research into the influence of urban factors on environment are stated in thesis. Spacious unhomogeneity of pollution with heavy metals of city soils taking into account the intensity sources of pollution is being examined. It is indicated the content's dependence of movable metal forms in surface layer of soil on their properties. It is substantiated and recommended for plantations the plants' assortment with the purpose of diminution the negative influence of pollutants on environment. Application sphere are regional ecomonitoring, training courses.
