The paper discusses the development of five new methods and algorithms for non-stationary traffic extrapolation against computer network interferences. Applications were developed on the basis of the algorithms, the statistical simulation modeling method, and the MathCAD system, and were used to confirm the effectiveness of the new optimal extrapolation methods. Experiments were conducted that demonstrate how variations in a priori traffic information parameters affect the effectiveness of optimal extrapolation. Algorithms were proposed for handling live traffic in a local area network, illustrating the validity of the developed optimal extrapolation methods with respect thereto and enhancing network reliability. The results of the dissertation research are protected by three Ukrainian patents and supported by certificates of implementation.
