Essay

This work is dedicated to studying of regularities of structural and phase transformations in nearsurface layers of iron alloys alloyed with chromium and titanium, which occur in the process of laser treatment in the saturation media with elements of intrusions (N, C); laser alloying of iron alloys Ti, C, N from plasters (TiC, TiN) and combined laser and chemical and thermal treatment (nitriding). Suggested model descriptions about processes of discrete and heterogeneous structure with carbide and nitride particles of intrusions phases formation in the near-surface layers, that lead to increasing of microhardeness in 5-7 times (till 8…11 GPa) and wear-resistance in 4-6 times. Influence of alloying on the process of structure formation has been determined and principle possibility of directed formation of quasi eutectic structures in the zone of laser action was shown and optimal regimes of treatment were suggested.
