Essay

The object of research: the Second Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth and its policy regarding to the national communities. The purpose of research: to perform a comprehensive, broad-source based analysis of cultural incorporation in the Eastern provinces of the Second Polish–Lithuanian Commonwealth in 1918 - 1926 years regarding to religious and educational life of the Ukrainian and Belarusian population. Methods: Historical and comparative, historical and chronological; prosophographical method. Scientific innovation and results of the research: formulation and development of national policy issues in the historical region which has traditionally been in the area of civilized European frontier, the study of this region as a cultural space with its sub-features. New scientific documents from archival institutions of Ukraine, Russia and Belarus was introduced. Scope: historiography, higher education.
