In the thesis was decided the issue of clinical and laboratory features, the drug therapy spectrum and the effectiveness of disease-modifying antirheumatic drugs (DMARDs) therapy in patients with psoriatic arthritis (PsA) in the actual practice of medicine, establishing the efficacy and tolerability of leflunomide (LF) as monotherapy and in combination with other DMARDs, developed new laboratory criteria of efficacy and specified indications for LF. The interrelation of matrix metalloproteinase -3 (MMP-3) and pyridinoline levels with clinical and laboratory characteristics of PsA and response to the treatment were studied.
