Essay

Object: the processes of antioxidant defense. Aim: to characterize the dynamic changes of glutathione antioxidant system indexes and some links of the intracellular signaling in gastric mucosa cells under experimental gastric carcinogenesis and increased intake of sodium chloride. Methods: histological, spectrophotometric, spectrofluorometric methods, immune-enzyme assay, mathematical statistics. Results: it was investigated the functional state of the glutathione system and some indexes of the intracellular signaling of rat gastric mucosa cells under experimental gastric carcinogenesis. Novelty: it was conducted the complex research of the glutathione system (content of reduced and oxidized glutathione, the activities of glutathione peroxidase, glutathione transferase, glutathione reductase, gamma-glutamyltransferase, glucose-6-phosphate dehydrogenase) and some indexes of the intracellular signaling (the phosphorylated c-Jun content, the nitric oxide synthase and ornithine decarboxylase activities) of gastric mucosa cells under experimental gastric carcinogenesis; it was detected the relation between the intracellular redox-state and some intracellular signaling components of gastric mucosa cells. Application field: biochemistry, oncology.
