The object of research - а figure of O.O.Bobrinsky in social and political life of the Russian Empire in 70-ies of the XIX cent.- 1917. The purpose of research - the reconstruction of the historical portrait of Count О.О.Bobrinsky, an elucidation of his place and role in internal processes and activities of specific socio-political organizations and public institutions of the Russian Empire in 70-ies of the XIX cent.- 1917. Methods of research - general: logic, induction and deduction, analysis and synthesis, abstraction and specification, descriptive; specific historical: historical-genetic, historical-comparative, historical- chronological and problem-historical, historical- systematic, historical-typological; interdisciplinary: prosopohrafy, henealoho-biographical, situational, synergistic, intensive microanalysis. Scientific novelty - on a wide range of sources, including archival documents, some of which are first introduced to the scientific community, are comprehensively studied life and career of O.O.Bobrinsky - the famous Russian politician, state and public figure against the background of socio-political processes in the Russian Empire in last quarter of the XIX - early XX cent.When characterizing A. A. Bobrinsky's personality formation are reconstructed his genealogical tree and defined the role of "hereditary" factors in shaping his outlook orientations. Is set the level of A. A. Bobrinsky's political socialization and his place as the leader of the United Nobility. Are defined A. A. Bobrinsky's contribution in developing of policy principles in agrarian, election, education and tax reforms in Russia. Scope of application - history, political science, educational process.
