Essay

In this thesis scientific and practical task of forming a typical driving cycles for local, intercity and coach buses, which are the basis for definition of fuel consumption rates for buses is solved. Also the assessment of the impact of drive train structural parameters and traffic conditions on their fuel efficiency is presented. Using this assessment the advice on selecting an engine power and main gear ratio for various classes of buses are defines as well as the basis for differential regulation of fuel consumption rates.
