The thesis investigates the problem of "special relationship" between Britain and the U.S. Labour Governments of T. Blair and G. Brown. We consider the particular position of Great Britain in relation to the U.S. in the late 90-ies of XX century - beginning of XXI century. On the basis of involvement of new documents to the scientific use the influence of the U.S. "special relationship" on the foreign policy of the United Kingdom is traced, as well as the evolution of British- American relations during the reign of the Labour governments of T. Blair and G. Brown. There's shown the governments activity on the European arena, its participation in the fight against international terrorism in the prism of "special relationship" with the United States.
