Object of research: the development of problem regions of Ukraine at the stage of post-crisis recovery, the purpose of the study: development of theoretical and methodological positions and practical recommendations for improvement of the territorial organization of problem regions of Ukraine; methods: theory and logic synthesis, system analysis, analysis and synthesis, induction and deduction, etc., theoretical and practical results: improved the nature and content of the basic categories and assumptions of problem regions, methodical approach to quantify the similarity of the problems of socio-economic development priorities of improving the territorial organization of problem regions of Ukraine, conceptual approaches to the prediction of problem regions Ukraine, a system of principles and factors of regional development, scientific approaches to assessing the specific problem of the region, methodical tools predict changes in gross regional product troubled region, the degree of implementation: development implemented in practice committee of Mukachevo City Council, Centre for European frontier research and cooperation, the Fund cross-border cooperation, universities MSU.
