Essay

The dissertation deals with the morphological features of ovarian apoplexy sources with different volumes of hemoperitoneum in order to improve the pathomorphological diagnostics and detection of the ovarian apoplexy causes. The examined material is presented in 80 cases, 10 of which were the control group. The following methods of research were used: histological, histochemical, immunohistochemical, morphometric and statistical. The identified pathomorphological features of ovarian apoplexy were manifested with discirculatory disorders, and their severity was increasing with the increasing volume of hemoperitoneum. Structural changes in the vessels' walls were observed, especially in the 3rd group. By marking of 4th type collagen and endothelin-1, disturbance of the vessels' walls were determined, mostly observed in the 3rd group. Analysis of the anamnestic data demonstrated that the most ovarian apoplexy cases occur in women with ovarian tumor-like formations, prolonged infertility period, chronic salpingitis, adhesive disease of the pelvis organs, and a sedentary lifestyle.
