Vasylenko D. Diagnostics of functioning of the regional economic system (the case of Donetsk region)

The object of study: the functioning of regional economic system. The aim of study: the formation of methodological foundations of diagnostics of the process of functioning of the regional economic system through theoretical generalization of the relevant discourses and empirical capability test of their realization and implementation in practical work. Methods of study: method of systematic approach; structurally-functional method; method of analysis and synthesis; economy-statistics method; empirical method; matrix method. The practical significance of results lays in the fact that the theoretical positions described in the present thesis work were brought to the level of scientific and practical recommendations the implementation on which in the practical work of executive authorities at the regional level make it possible to diagnose the functioning of the regional economic system. Scientific novelty of results lies in fact that it was the first time when the matrix of diagnostics of the regional economic system functioning based on separation of residing stages was developed. Were implemented: the territorial approach to the study of dynamics of the basis parameters of regional economic system; the practices of economic analysis of reconstruction of regional economic system structure; the practices and methods of exposure of the closeness of relationships between the basic elements of subsystems of the regional economic system. Further developments have got: the content of the core region as an economic system; the selection of goals and basic functions of the subsystems of the regional economic system.
