The dissertation is devoted to enhancing the quality of the PET containers manufacturing process through development of automated system for analysis of the quality of PET bottles manufacturing based on the monitoring of the product parameters, implementation of corrective and preventive actions, and the use of techniques and procedures based on the in-depth statistical analysis of the product characteristics. Mathematical models of main manufacturing processes of PET containers are being considered in order to obtain standardized ranges of process parameters for a particular recipe with the resulting reduction in the time required to perform operations when the recipe is changed and to reduce material expenses.Informational structure of the automated PET bottle quality monitoring system has been developed to facilitate development of a software system. The algorithm for monitoring PET containers quality has been developed to enable application of statistical control methods based on Shewhart control charts. The functional model for collection and provision of information on quality of PET bottles production process has been developed, as well as informational and software maintenance for monitoring quality of the PET bottle production process - AMPET.
