Essay

It has been set the level of usage and species diversity of the genus Tilia L. in plantations of general and special purpose. A comparative evaluation of the linden living condition has been provided by the complex of the signs. The comparative analysis of drought resistance has been done according to anatomy structure parameters of the leaves and heat resistance of the leaves and water exchange. It has been given the evaluation of the Tilia L. reactions on the deep rejuvenating pruning. The high regenerative capacity of the linden has been found out through growth processes intensification. The ability to restore the upper branches of the tree quickly after cutting has been preferable agricultural practice instead of replacing of the old trees with the young ones. The phyto-meliorative role of the Tilia L. trees in the urban conditions has been found by indicators of the sedimentation dust, accumulation of the metals in the leaves and the positive impact on the microclimate.
