Essay

The thesis is dedicated to actual question of percutaneous vertebroplasty (PVP) using in 152 patients' treatment with uncomplicated compression fractures of vertebrae at osteoporosis, been treated in clinic of laser and miniinvasive spinal neurosurgery of SI "Institute of neurosurgery named after acad. A.P. Romodanov of National Academy of Medical Sciences of Ukraine" and unit of spine neurosurgery of Dnepropetrovsk regional clinical hospital named after I.I. Mechnikov in a period from 2003 to 2011. There optimal diagnostic scheme for patients with uncomplicated compression fractures of vertebrae at osteoporosis was determined: spondilografy, Х-ray densitometry, spiral CT and MRI. Testimonies for PVP performing and it's features were determined in dependence of level and quantity of broken vertebrae and character of the fracture. Recent and long-term results of treatment of 152 patients with uncomplicated compression fractures of vertebrae at osteoporosis were studied. Complications, appeared in the process of PVP performing were analyzed
