Thesis toward the research degree of candidate of history, speciality 07.00.02 - World History. - National Taras Schevchenko University of Kyiv Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sport of Ukraine. - Kyiv, 2012. The relations between Poland and the Teutonic Order in the 13th-15th centuries and their main directions based on the range of sources and special historical literature are examined in the thesis. The character and the form of cooperation between the Polish principalities and the Teutonic Order at the beginning of its abidance in Prussia in the 13th century are described. The causes and conditions that led to the diplomatic and military confrontation between Poland and the Teutonic Order in the 14th-15th centuries are found out, its consequences for the future development of both countries are determined. It has been defined in which way the two-way conflicts, that complicated the relationships between the Polish Kingdom and the Teutonian Order, were resolved. The prevailing affirmation about the exceptionally antagonistic model of Poland and Teutonic Order coexistence in the 13th-15th centuries has been disproved.
