Kushynska M. Insect pollinators in the consortive structure of Gentiana L. plants in the high-mountain of Carpathians

This thesis presents the results of investigation of insect pollinators of rare plant species of Gentiana L. in the high-mountain of Carpathians. The species composition and diversity of insect pollinators of rare gentian species (Gentiana lutea L., G. acaulis L., G. asclepiadea L., G. punctata L., G. laciniata Kit. ex Kanitz) were found out. The diversity of insect pollinators was identified and their role in functioning of the given five model gentian species was proved. Biocoenotic relations between insect pollinators and the gentians were studied. Ratio and the effectiveness of entomophilous pollination of the gentians in high-mountain conditions were defined on the basis of our own experiments. Daily dynamics of insect pollinators in the high-mountain of Chornohora was analyzed. The influence of hypsometric level on the composition of pollinators was defined. Role of insect pollinators in the consortive structure of investigated gentian species was determined.
