Essay

The thesis deals with the improvement of industrial recuperators being the heat recovery plants and is based on the present-day conceptions of the heat exchange theory and of the methods of analysis of the fuel use' energy efficiency. The excess total enthalpy of the heat carrier (the combustion products) has been accepted as the determinative parameter in calculations of the efficiency of the fuel-usage processes. The thermotechnical characteristics of the compared recuperator desings have been studied. The difference between the local temperature values of the tube's wall and those of the heated air stream has been used as the main temperature characteristic. It has been shown that due to the increase of Тa value and the simultaneous lowering of Тw value the Тw - Тa difference value can be doubly decreased (by 200 °С) in the upgraded section, in comparison with the original one.
