Essay

The paper, on the basis of complex research (radiological, anatomical, histological, morphometric, and statistic), explains structural organization of trachea and lungs of hens, grown in relatively clean and polluted with radionuclide territories. By the results of radiological research, it determined that specific activity of trachea and lungs of hens of researched group by Cs-137 was higher for the similar index of hens of control group, which might certify on cumulative capability of this isotope. On the basis of morphological research we determined, that low levels of radiation evoke changes of organometric and microscopic indexes in the organisms of hens that develop in quantitative changes of histostructure: trachea - lowering the thickness of mucous, fibrocartilaginous and adventitious membranes; lungs - lowering respiratory part and increase of fiber basis, thickening of walls of air capillary vessel, in separate cases stagnation occurrences and slight flaming effusion of blood. This information certify on the development of compensatory and adaptive reactions in the organisms of animals on cumulative action of radionuclide. The received results on cell, fiber and organism levels add contemporary representation on morphological changes of organism of animals on radioactive emission, the degree of reflection of which depends on the period of their staying in radionuclide-polluted territories.
