It has represented the general picture of Historiography of regional collecting and scientific studies in modern Slavic folklore and in the Humanities. The factual material, collected by the author in Zaporizhzhya region and in Berdyansk, has allowed to analyze the present state and the dynamic of genre composition of song folklore. The peculiarities of productive formation and existence of particular genres as well as the transformation of others have been established.
