Object of study - energy conversion processes in electrical complex for testing DC motors; aim of the work is to improve the efficiency of testing the dc motors by means of development the system of mutual load of electrical machines without mechanical connection of shafts; research methods are based on the usage of the following theories: fundamentals of the theory of automatic control and electrical engineering, theory of electrical circuits, harmonic analysis methods, the method of differential equations solution, methods of experimental design, mathematical modeling and experimental researches; theoretical results: the method of DC machines dynamic loads received further development, which, unlike to existing methods, is based on the control of parallel connected to tested motor electromechanical storage and bunching-out system which is an additional DC motor in order to eliminate reversal components of in power circuit of the energy converter; the method of forming the current of storage and bucking-out device in antiphase to the current of tested motor taking into account shearing angle between currents harmonic components was given, which is, in difference to existing methods, is a base for elimination the reversal components in energy converter power circuit and minimization of the usage the reversal power from supply; the principles of extremal control systems creation were improved, where, in difference to existing, determination of initial values of control voltages of the converters is done basing on the developed regression model which connects the root-mean-square value of the currents of electric motor and energy converter power circuit with duty factors and shearing angle of control voltage of the converter. The practical results: the structure of the complex for testing DC machines was developed and practically proved the possibility of building such systems for all types and capacities of tested machines; a method of calculating the parameters of complex for testing electrical DC machines, which provides a rational ratio of electrical power of electromechanical equipment and significant decrease in investments for the establishment and modernization of testing systems was developed; a hardware and software system for automatization the testing process and enabling the improvement of its efficiency and informativeness was developed. The degree of implementation - a manufacturing company LLC "Design and Diagnostic Center" and the learning process of Kremenchuk Michaylo Ostrogradskyi National University. Sector (industry) of the implementation - electrical systems for testing DC motors without mechanical connection of shafts.
