Essay

The dissertation is the first complex research of folk tradition of Stryi District. Main attention focused on the relationship of traditional and modern: at the level of existence, and in the plane of poetic works. Type of oral-poetry in the Stryyschiny considered as forming part of the Ukrainian folk tradition, which is designated by the regional characteristics. The thesis clarified the question of transformation of local song paradigm for over a hundred years.
