The thesis is devoted to solving important scientific and technical problems a rise in the process of grinding hard materials increase durability circles of superhard materials (SHM) due to directional thermal effects on grain SHM to change the impurity composition of the surface and directed electrophysical effects on the cutting surface of the wheel to change the state cutting surfaces of grains and bond. Directional thermal effects on diamonds synthesized in the system Fe-Si-C and Ni-Mn-C can improve performance of their magnetic susceptibility and strength by changing the impurity of the surface grains, which in turn helped to increase up to 2 times wear wheels. First it is proved that for guaranteed durability increase in grinding wheels should be used diamonds with the highest magnetic susceptibility of Fe-Si-C. For the first time found that under conditions of directional thermal plasma influence on the cutting surface of the wheels formed on grains NTM film coated with a high content of tin, which, consequently, changes the friction processes in the treatment zone and improves 1.4 times the wear resistance grinding wheels.
