The synthesis of fullerenes in an arc discharge and secondary synthesis with fullerene mixture under the influence of a pulsed laser beam have been investigated. In the arc discharge device first with a hollow electrode at a flow rate of helium 5 cm3/s, the discharge current 70 A product was obtained with the mass spectrum (AutoFlex): C60,…,C150 - first with a substantially reduced part of the amorphous component. The calculation showed that the path length and duration of the formation of fullerenes, these parameters exceed normal discharge. Spectroscopy of plasma discharge simulation by the code Specair 2.2 shows that the electron temperature of 3000 <T<6000 K, and the starting particles, forming radicals and clusters are electrons, atoms and ions of carbon. In the formation of uncompleted fullerenes in the mass spectrum observed anomalous proximity packs isotopic lines associated with the isomerization hydrogenated carbyne chains; the structures include 2 or 4 carbon atoms in sp-hybridization; the mass spectrum depends on the sign of the charge of fullerenes, so difference the energy of ion clusters with the number n of carbon atoms is equal to D = CEn + + EIn <= 2fi = 10,74 eV, where CEn - the electron affinity, EIn - the ionization energy of the cluster. Secondary synthesis of fullerene optimally carried out at the radiation power density of pulsed laser 0,1 <= W <= 0,4 MW/cm2.
