Boichenko V. Influence of universities on the regional innovation development

The object of study: the process of innovative development of the region. The aim of study: the development of theoretical, methodological and practical recommendations regarding the activation of impact of universities onto the innovative development of the region. Methods of study: epistemological approach and the abstract-logical method; structural and logical method; method of analysis and synthesis; expert methods; functional approach; production approach. The practical significance of results lays in fact that the basic theoretical, methodological and practical provisions were brought up to the level of specific proposals that set the stage for the further improvement of socio-economic and environmental development of the region with the usage of innovative potential of each area. Scientific novelty of results lays in fact that the way to activate the impact of universities onto the innovative development of the region was improved; the methodological procedure for selection and usage of resources for innovative educational, scientific and industrial cluster operating on the basis of production approach was improved; the tools of assessment of impact of universities onto the innovative development of the region were found and improved basing on statistical and expert methods implementation. Further developments have got: the methodical approach to the process of analysis of the current state of innovative development of the region basing on statistical methods of indicators assessment usage; the interpretation of the content of innovative development of the region on the basis of epistemological approach implementation.
