Essay

The thesis is devoted to physical modeling of the process of propagation of surface solitary waves and their interaction with topographical features of the channel. The main characteristics of waves propagating in the channel, the heights of run-up on slopes and new data concerning with the reflection coefficients of solitary waves in respect to amplitude and energy depending on slope angle have been obtained. The results of experimental investigations of the interaction process of solitary waves with underwater obstacles have been presented.
