Object - the patterns of distribution of radioactive elements in the components of forest ecosystems and their accumulation in forest products; goal - to identify patterns of radioactive contamination of forest products for rehabilitation of forest management in forests of Ukraine; methods - comparative ecology, forestry, forest soil science and radioecology; novelty - for the first time for Polesje of Ukraine, the peculiarities of the modern distribution of 137Cs in the components of forest ecosystems, in annual radial growth of Scots pine, in soils of different types of forest conditions have been revealed with the aim of forest rehabilitation; further studies on 137Cs distribution in the tissues and organs of tree species have been developed to rehabilitate the forest; information on contamination of the main medicine and herbal wild berry plants of forests of Polesje of Ukraine has been deepened and expanded; results - a new edition of guidelines for forest management in conditions of radioactive contamination in Polesje of Ukraine; sphere of use - forest management.
