Research object: processes of the formation and implementation of regional policy of development events tourism. Purpose: development of theoretical principles and practical recommendations for the formulation and implementation of regional policy of development events tourism. Methods: logic synthesis, synthesis, analysis, comparison, deduction, induction, economic statistics, program budgeting, design, graphic, graphic-analytical and mapping. Results: developed a typology of regional policy of development events tourism; improved content of events tourism, identifying the factors of events tourism in the region, methodical approach to evaluating the effectiveness of regional policy of development events tourism, approaches to isolating objects of regional infrastructure of events tourism, approaches to the development and implementation of effective branding strategy for positioning the region to domestic and foreign tourism markets, have received further development of approaches for distinguishing types of events tourism depending on the type of event and of territorial organization.
