The algorithm of protection of steam- and gas path of the caldron during its idle was worked out. This algorithm is based on these experimental researches. The energy losses were minimized. For experimental researches and determination of energy losses were worked out proper methods. For the maintaining of external surfaces of heating of caldron during its idle and watery cleaning were worked out protection schemes with using heated air and hot water from an extraneous source. Were determined criteria for effective watery cleaning and conservation of external surfaces of heating of caldron from coal deposits and influence on corrosion of metal. Was tested a functional dependence of final phase of thermal drying of external surfaces of heating of caldron TP -10, it provides the economy of energy. Results of researches were used on the thermal power-stations of Ukraine.
